Canada Day Celebrations

Vancouver (NEWS1130) - People have been busy on Sunday with Canada day parades and picnics across the Lower Mainland. Families and friends flocked to the music and events at Granville Island, Richmond and North Vancouver and now many are planning to head to the fireworks. Vancouver will have fireworks at 10:30 tonight and they are happening on the Vancouver Barge and the Coal Harbour Barge. You can go to Canada Place and the North Shore to get a good spot, but you might want to go early. Fireworks will also be happening at Nat Bailey Stadium at dusk. Ambleside Park in West Vancouver has its fireworks at 10:30 p.m.
Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam will be having fireworks at 10:00 p.m. at Castle Park and Citadel Heights Park. White Rock 's fireworks will happen at dusk in the area of the White Rock Museum and Surrey has a big party planned with guests Ian Tyson, Wide Mouth Mason, April Wine and Kim Mitchell at the Cloverdale Millenium Park. Fireworks start there at 10:30 p.m. Langley will be having its firework display at McLeod Athletic Park at dusk. Abbotsford's fireworks display will begin at 10 p.m at Exhibition Park. People can "ooh" and "aah" at the bright lights in the sky in Chilliwack at Chilliwack Heritage Park at 10:00 p.m.
