Wide Mouth Mason scheduled to perform
A Canadian group will be headlining at an Okanagan awards night.
The fourth annual Okanagan Music Awards and Musicians Bash, held Sept. 26 at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre, will welcome Wide Mouth Mason.
The Saskatoon, Sask. band has been touring for 10 years and have released four albums.
The band, which is known for their song Change, have won seven Prairie Music awards, two Canadian Radio Music awards, one Western Canadian Music award and two Juno nominations.
Other musical groups performing at the awards show include Cold Driven, The Sleddogs, Warhag, Lee Dinwoodie, Roger Gabriel, Rachel Matkin and Steelewater, Manfred Harter and Unknown Culprits.
The Okanagan Music Awards honour area talent for their work through nominations in a variety of categories which are submitted through public ballot. A committee of judges, voting members and community-based professionals judge nominees on specific criteria.
